The Daily Telegraph reported that one member of the Boeing 777's cabin crew fainted and five others complained of feeling unwell. With the plane in the air over southwest Iceland, the captain made the decision to return to Heathrow.
American Airlines confirmed that two passengers and "some of our flight attendants" complained of lightheadedness aboard Flight 109, which left Heathrow at 12:05 p.m. local time Wednesday (7:05 a.m. EST). The airline said early Thursday that the aircraft was being inspected by maintenance engineers.

How was eventually explained is that a chemical component in compressed air called Hydroxamine mixed with an ammonia based hydrocarbon which resulted in a sleep inducing gas. It was further explained that the ammonia-based hydrocarbon was introduced into the cabin via flatulence. Investigators found that the ammonia-based hydrocarbon was a component in restaurant food at the airport food court. I later heard that a restaurant called "Punjab Delights" which was cited before for health violations, was soon to be closed because of excessive ammonia-based hydrocarbons and their food.

Правда, тот же коммент повторяется еще раз где компонент в воздухе называется уже Nitrohexamine. Nitrohexamine - это нитробензол, и Hydroxamine - тоже ядовитая хрень, так что вряд ли бы оно присутствовало в баллонах с кислородом. Несмотря на всю прикольность, похоже, что это не по-настоящему, а просто кто-то прикалывается.
